Nissan works with LucasFilms on Star Wars: The Last Jedi campaign

When Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a partnership. After all, the Nissan Rogue had been on the market for quite a while, and it looks stellar decorated with Star Wars exclusive features. Do things have to end now that the movie has been released? Of course not. Nissan just announced its continued partnership with LucasFilms as the brand works on the Star Wars: The Last Jedi marketing campaign. We’re expecting to see more themed vehicles, and Nissan is unlikely to disappoint.

What do we know about The Last Jedi so far?

Nissan is one of six brands to be honored to work with LucasFilms, along with Christian Louboutin, General Mills, Royal Philips, Verizon and VIZIO. Aside from these partnerships and the fact that the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi film will be released on December 15, 2017, the only fresh information we have is this teaser trailer:

Clearly, things will be taking off from where Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens left off. We see Daisey Ridley reprising her role as Rey, and it seems clear that Mark Hamill, as Luke Skywalker, will be training her to use The Force. None of this is truly surprising, except for the assertion that “it’s time for the Jedi to end.” It’s the sort of action we’ve been waiting to see on film, and it is coming out just in time for Christmas.

Nissan has done a number of things in the past to customize Rogue models under the Star Wars theme, but will the brand continue with modifications to this SUV? We wouldn’t mind seeing some decked out options from the rest of the lineup. Especially if they are for sale, and not reserved for auto shows.
