Memorial Day is an important American holiday to get together and honor all military personnel. If you are looking for ways to spend your Memorial Day weekend, we have found some fun to stuff around DuPage County to do. Keep reading to find something for your family.

Take a trip to Cantigny Park

As the former estate of Chicago Tribune Colonel Robert R. McCormick, Cantigny Park has a collection of tanks to walk along and beautiful gardens. You can reserve tickets to the First Division Museum located in the park to learn about soldiers’ stories

Cool off with ice cream

After you’ve soaked up the sun, it’s time to find some ice cream. FUEL & Crème has a little something for everyone. Adults can grab a beer, wine or cider on one side of the shop and everyone can get a scoop of ice cream or custard on the other side.

Have a picnic at one of the park districts

The weather has been beautiful lately, now is the time to take in the sun rays rather than watching them from the office window. Some of the best parks to head to include Warner Park in Westmont, Wilder Park in Elmhurst or the Lilacia Park in Lombard. If you don’t feel like making food, order a picnic basket from Marché.
