What is the Nissan LEAF e+?
The Nissan LEAF one of the most popular electric vehicles in the world today. The 100-percent electric model offers incredible efficiency and performance, as well as continue to innovate and drive the segment forward. In fact, one of the ways Nissan is pushing it forward is with the new announcement of the Nissan LEAF e+. So, exactly what is the Nissan LEAF e+? Let’s take a look.
With the new LEAF e+ model, Nissan is offering an exciting new powertrain option that allows for both more power and range in the new LEAF model. The e+ will offer a new 62 kWh battery pack which will help the new LEAF achieve an estimated range of up to 226 miles, which is approximately 40 percent more than before.
The new electric model also offers an available new 70 kW Quick Charging system. This system helps the new LEAF e+ charge faster than ever before. In fact, according to the manufacturer’s early testing, the LEAF e+ connected to a 100 kW charger can see the same charging times as a current LEAF model connected to a 50 kW charger.
The new Nissan LEAF e+ will also continue to provide the same popular features as the LEAF such as the ProPILOT Assist, along with the new e-Pedal. The new e-Pedal allows drivers to start, accelerate and decelerate the vehicle with the accelerator pedal alone, making driving easier.
