Nissan Serena and Nissan X-Trail ProPilot feature
“German-engineering” is a popular phrase, but for a long time it’s been Japanese engineers that take the reins when it comes to offering all the latest and most impressive new features. The future of mobility seems to hinge on electric vehicle and autonomous driving, and Nissan is already making a go at it by offering not one, but two vehicles for sale with semi-autonomous driving. Unfortunately, neither model is offered to the U.S. market. Both the Nissan Serena and Nissan X-Trail now have ProPilot. Read the rest of this entry »

Which 2018 Nissan models will have automatic emergency braking?
Driver distraction remains at an all-time high, and is the primary culprit behind devastating accidents. In a busy world, it’s not as easy as it used to be to stay focused while rolling along at high speeds in a two-ton machine. Which is a scary thought for most of us when we consider what other drivers might be doing behind the wheel. One feature that combats our tendency toward inattentiveness is automatic emergency braking, which provides audible and visual alerts when a frontal collision seems likely. If a driver doesn’t press the brakes, your car will do it for you, preventing a collision or mitigating damage. For 2018, this feature will be standard for many 2018 Nissan models. But which ones? When most of us look to buy cars, we consult trusted friend or family members to direct us on which models are the smartest to own, if we don’t happen to be the experts ourselves. There’s no denying that there’s one less practical influence: Celebrities. Maybe it’s the idea of owning the same vehicle as someone famous, or the fact that those in the spotlight could afford any vehicle they want, but many people are curious about the vehicles of the rich and famous. So which celebrities drive Nissan cars? Read the rest of this entry »

How to tell if engine oil is bad?
Automakers have made it easier than ever to tell exactly when your car needs to be serviced through various dashboard warning lights. When a service light comes on, you almost definitely know it’s time for an oil change, but what if you can’t find time to stop by our service center right away? You’re probably wondering if it’s an absolute emergency, or if you can wait a week or two. Unfortunately, the best answer is that it depends highly on how you drive, where you drive, how many miles you’ve driven and how long is has been since your last oil change. If your service light is triggered, it’s probably based on duration rather than actual engine oil breakdown. So how are you to tell if your engine oil has truly gone bad? How fast is the 2017 Nissan GT-R?
Speed isn’t everything, and it certainly isn’t a requirement for our everyday driving needs. After all, you’ll only find yourself without a license if you put pedal to metal on the open highway.
