Snow Patrol? Isn’t that a band? Sure, but now it’s also a Nissan concept version of the flagship SUV in the Nissan lineup, Nissan Armada Snow Patrol Debut at 2018 Chicago Auto Show the Nissan Armada Snow Patrol. The concept model is making its debut at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, which will be open to the public on Feb. 10-19. Nissan is giving us a sneak peek at what can be seen, which includes both this concept and the Nissan 370Zki, a snowmobile-like roadster.

Nissan Armada Snow Patrol modifications

As a concept vehicle, we already know the Armada Snow Patrol is a one-off project. Even though it might sometimes feel as if we could use some off-road enhancements after a heavy snowfall, but it’s unlikely anyone really needs one to be this intense. But it would be fun.

So what are some of the modifications made to the 2018 Nissan Armada for the Snow Patrol concept? One of the first things that will catch your eye are the enormous 35-inch Pro Comp MT2 maximum traction off-road tires. These tires are put on 20×9-inch Satin Black milled-finish wheels for a simple and powerful appearance. In order to accommodate this, a three-inch suspension lift kit was needed.

Other mods include a Smittybilt off-road bumper with grille protector bar, grille-mounted motorsport LED lights and a 12,000-pound capacity winch. On the roof isn’t just a Defender roof rack, but a double-row LED bar with flood and spotlight. You’ll also note the M-1A running boards that help protect the side body, though they blend in compared to many of the more aggressive modifications.

You could technically add many of these features yourself, if you put some time into your 2018 Nissan Armada, but we have to admit it’s more about fun than function. Plus, we suspect you’d be putting a bit of money into the upgrades.
