2016 Memorial Day Parades near Glendale Heights IL

“Everybody working for the weekend”….especially a three day weekend. For those of you who may have forgotten or are planning a mini getaway, Memorial Day is coming up on May, 30th this year. Whether you’re looking for a parade to attend or merely are trying to think of things to do on the extended weekend, be sure to take a look at our list of 2016 Memorial Day events and parades near Glendale Heights, IL.
Of course we all appreciate the time away from work, but it’s important to remember to thank the men and women who so courageously serve and protect our country. All of us here at Glendale Nissan deeply appreciate your bravery and want to say thank you!
Memorial Day Parade
Location: Downtown-Main Street at Sherman Street, Downers Grove
If a parade is traditionally a part of your Memorial Day celebration and you prefer to stay local, be sure to catch the one taking place in Downers Grove. The parade begins at 11 and admission is free! There will be commercial vendors and entertainment for children as well. The parade will be hosted by the American Legions in honor of the men and women who protect our country.
Hillside Memorial day Ceremony
Location: Hillside IL
Come and visit Oak Park where a Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, May 30.This ceremony is held in honor to especially commemorate the United States men and women who died serving their country.
Chicago Memorial Day Parade
Location: State Street and Lake Street, Chicago IL

If you plan on taking a trip to Chicago this Memorial Day Weekend, be sure to make it in time for the Chicago Memorial Day Parade. The parade will take place on Saturday, May 28th at noon. The wreath laying ceremony will take place before hand at 11 am.
St. Charles Memorial Day Parade
Location: 6th and Main street to Riverside Ave. St. Charles, IL
The St. Charles Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day where everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the entertainment.
For those of you who may be interested, the St. Charles Fine Art Show will be taking place on May 28th and 29th where more than 100 of the greatest artists in the area will be present with creations varying from watercolor, oil, sculpture, photography, ceramics, wood, and more.
