How Powerful is the 2019 Nissan Altima? 

As 2019 looms on in the distance, many drivers are excited to see what’s to come from the new model year lineup of vehicles. 2.5-Liter Engine in the 2019 Nissan Altima 

Coming standard in the upcoming sedan is an impressive 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. This engine all-new for 2019 and is able to power the new model to 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, as well as comes paired with an Xtronic transmission that offers an expanded lock-up area to help improve efficiency.

2.0-Liter VC-Turbo Engine in the 2019 Nissan Altima 

Replacing the Altima’s previous 3.5-liter V6 engine is the new 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine. This is the world’s first production-ready variable compression turbo inline 4-cylinder engine, meaning it offers similar power and performance while keeping the economy of a typical 4-cylinder engine. In fact, the new 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine offers an impressive 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.
