Performance in the 2018 Nissan Armada vs 2018 Nissan Pathfinder
Though the models might look like they would be in similar segments just looking at them, a deeper inspection shows the 2018 Nissan Armada and 2018 Nissan Pathfinder are very different. It’s already clear that the Armada is a much larger vehicle when it comes to interior space, and that naturally means it is heavier and requires a more powerful engine. As a result, you can see that it is powered by a robust 5.6-liter V8 that delivers much more power, but it also lags behind the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder when it comes to fuel economy.
Then, of course, there is pricing. It can’t be that much more money to drive a larger vehicle, right? The 2018 Nissan Armada is not only more expensive because of its size, but its capability and features. The 2018 Nissan Pathfinder can tow up to 6,000 pounds, which is a lot for the midsize segment, but quite a bit lower than the 8,500 pounds of maximum towing offered by the 2018 Nissan Armada.
What about features? While both models are well-stocked, the 2018 Nissan Armada has the following features that are either not offered on the Pathfinder, or simply not present on the base model: External digital memory control, power driver and front passenger seats, heated front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 13-speaker Bose audio system, integrated navigation and more. Upgrading to a higher trim level will naturally give you more features in the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, but it will also raise the price closer to that of the Armada.
