Updated 2017 Nissan Pathfinder Technology Features

Inside and out, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has undergone significant change. Over the generations, it has grown to become a stronger and more athletic version than ever before. This isn’t a redesign year, but it has been thoroughly refreshed in a number of ways; the adaptation of the V-motion grille and swept back headlights being the most obvious.

Beyond the physical exterior changes, the Pathfinder has boosted its IQ to become the most technically advanced Pathfinder we’ve seen yet; let’s talk more about the updated 2017 Nissan Pathfinder technology features.

2017 Nissan Pathfinder Updated NissanConnect Features

Auto industry studies estimate that by 2020, 80 percent of all new vehicles will be equipped with telematics systems.

More than just a fad, infotainment systems aren’t going anywhere except in more and more vehicles. The Nissan Pathfinder directs its focus not only the driver but the entire family with the new connectivity and infotainment systems.

Standard: All 2017 Nissan Pathfinder trim levels will receive the updated next-generation infotainment system; this will not be an extra cost upgrade. Each one will debut a larger, 8.0-inch color touch screen monitor. It will continue to function like a smartphone in the way that it is set up, allowing drivers to take control by voice command, touch screen, or hard button controls.

This system features Voice Recognition as well as one-shot voice destination entry. (Three years of SiriusXM Traffic are included for free.)

NissanConnect Services will continue to be powered by SiriusXM which includes an “SOS” emergency call button overhead but also offers a variety of available features such as:

  • Automatic collision notification
  • Emergency call and vehicle locator
  • Maintenance alerts
  • Dealership service
  • Remote access

One of the most exciting upgrades of all is going to be fun for the whole family. The Family Entertainment Package is ideal for those who frequently travel and have children of all different ages. It features dual QHD 8.0-inch headrest monitors and HDMI input and USB ports. The DVD-base system includes rear seat wireless headphones as well as a wireless remote control, and rear headphone jacks with volume control. You’ll never hear them ask “Are we there yet?” ever again!
