Non-pet owners just don’t understand. Dogs are just as much a part of the family as anyone else, which means their safety is important too. Some of us older drivers like to laugh about the times, growing up, when we were left to bounce around the backseat, “and we survived.” Automakers, lawmakers and parents are perfectly glad that safety has improved for their tiniest passengers, but what about our dogs? The weather is heating up, which means it’s the perfect time for big auto show reveals. We’ll admit, Nissan hasn’t revealed new concepts at the 2017 New York International Auto Show so far, but the teases that we’ve seen are still fun. Naturally, Nissan has brought along the Rogue One Star Wars-themed display, but we already saw that when the automaker came here to Chicago. Nissan Rogue Battle Test 360-degree VR Experience

Sometimes you just don’t have the time or energy to go take a test drive of every vehicle you’re interested in, but what if you can experience the Nissan Rogue without even leaving your home? The new Nissan Rogue “Battle Test” is a 360-degree virtual reality experience that recently launched to flaunt the new Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies offered in select Rogue trims. Plus, it’s all demonstrated with a Star Wars Rogue One theme. Don’t worry if you don’t have a VR headset, as the video is available both as a Youtube 360 experience and on Facebook, as well as for download on Oculus, Steam, Samsung VR, Discovery VR, Jaunt, Daydream and Littlestar. After recently announcing the 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition, and seeing many reviews saying it’s the perfect combination of touring and racing, suddenly people want to know what the difference is between a touring and a racing car. Which is a perfectly valid question. After all, the GT-R stands for Gran Turismo Racer, and Gran Turismo means Grand Tourer, so shouldn’t it stand to reason that a model is both? (more…)

How much does the 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition cost?
Now, we know what you’ve been thinking. “Gee, I really would like a 2017 Nissan GT-R, but the Premium trim doesn’t have all the track features I want, and the Nismo is far too expensive.” OK, so maybe most people don’t have the luxury of debating between the two trim levels, but it stands to reason that those who can afford the model, or are at least dreaming about it, would still note the price gap as the Premium trim starts off at $109,990 and the Nismo jumps to $174,990. Even if you have the money, that’s a big difference. Now it sounds like Nissan will be adding the 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition to the lineup, but how much does it cost? (more…)
