Nissan introduces Apple CarPlay to 2017 vehicles

2017 Nissan Maxima Standard with Apple CarPlay
Entirely redesigned for 2016, the Nissan Maxima entered its eighth generation as the most technologically advanced and performance-tuned model ever. Modeled after a fighter jet, it arrived as a sleek and modern four-door sports car that shattered all expectations.
As the 2017 model year approaches, Nissan has only continued to tweak and fine-tune its full size sedan and plans to give it a boost in brainpower. It will be the very first Nissan vehicle to introduce Apple CarPlay, and even better yet, the 2017 Nissan Maxima will be standard with Apple CarPlay.
What is Apple CarPlay and how does it work?
In a nutshell, Apple CarPlay gives drivers the ability to essentially turn their vehicle’s dashboard into a giant iPhone or iPod. Take the Nissan Maxima for example; it’s equipped with a standard 8” multi-touch color screen that also doubles as a rearview camera. Now, when synced with an iPhone, it will adapt the user’s phone and display it on the screen.
You now will have your iPhone’s touchscreen interface presented on the dashboard, helping to keep you in touch with all of your contacts, music, and maps without taking away your concentration from the road.

It also can help you find points of interest, such as nearby convenience stores, restaurants, parks, and more. You’ll also be able to access your iTunes, scrolling through playlists and artists just as you normally would.
