What can I expect from the 2021 Nissan Maxima?

Setting the standard for what premium sedans offer, the 2021 Nissan Maxima hasn’t put down the brakes yet. This upcoming model year will have more refined qualities and standard technology features. Keep reading to learn what has changed with the 2021 Nissan Maxima.
Bold design features
The 2021 Nissan Maxima design is distinctive and fully embraces the jet fighter look to it by having a low, sculpted and streamlined design. There will be seven exterior color options and an available Dual Panoramic Moonroof. Inside there is a driver-oriented cockpit and seating comfortable for five occupants.
A dynamic, sporty performance
Each 2021 Nissan Maxima model will come equipped with the 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine which will be paired with the Xtronic transmission. These components give the 2021 Nissan Maxima an output of 300 horsepower and 261 pound-feet of torque. The transmission allows for a Drive Mode Selector to adjust throttle response with Active Sound Enhancement tuning which is standard in the SR trim level.
Safety and driver assistance features
The Nissan Safety Shield 360 will be standard in every 2021 Nissan Maxima model. This safety system will offer features like Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Automatic Braking and High Beam Assist. Other standard features include Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent driver Alertness and Traffic Sign Recognition.
40th Anniversary Edition
The Maxima has become the longest continuous running Nissan nameplate in the United States. As a way to commemorate its four decades of being on the road, the 2021 Nissan Maxima will have a 40th Anniversary Edition. Some defining features in this edition include black exterior finishes and trim badges, including the 40th Anniversary badge, Satin Dark Chrome interior faceted finishers and a unique two-tone Ruby Slate Gray Pearl exterior color with black roof.
