Budget-friendly activities to do in Du Page County 

We all crave to do something fun but sometimes the budget can only allow for so much. If you are itching to do something, we have found some ways to have fun in Du Page County for free! Keep reading to find some inspiration for your next adventure. 

Explore the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County 

You don’t have to pay for fresh air and gorgeous views! Head over to the Forest Preserve District which has numerous locations to explore. Take along your furry friend as well! Some areas have dog parks for your dog to run around in. 

Watch tulips bloom in Lilacia Park 

From May 1 to May 16, there will be the blooming of 25,000 tulips and 700 lilacs in the 8.5-acre Lilacia Park. This is located in the Village of Lombard and has been a long-standing tradition. Park-goers are asked to maintain social distance while in the park. 

Go for an adventure on the DuPage River 

If you have a kayak, there are a few launch areas on the DuPage River to see views you may not otherwise see. If you don’t have a kayak or small boat, there are still beautiful views to check out and plenty of space for a picnic. There are areas that allow for fishing as well.
