Nissan Ariya

Nissan’s pursuit for further innovations in electric and manufacturing technology

When it comes to electrifying vehicles, batteries are one of the most important parts. Nissan currently has been focusing on battery innovations to develop cost-competitive and more efficient vehicles.

Key Components of the Nissan Green Program

  • Carbon neutrality – As a way to become carbon neutral, Nissan is looking to offset its carbon emissions with removal. The plan to do this is by expanding its vehicle intelligence, electrification and innovative future.
  • No new material – Nissan is backing away from creating new materials that could otherwise be reused. The company is looking to use resources efficiently and sustainably.
  • Zero impact on air quality – Cars are known for their impact on the environment through the smog. Nissan wants to ensure cleaner exhaust emissions and create a comfortable in-cabin experience to protect health and reduce the impact on the environment.
  • Water scarcity – Water is used a lot in the manufacturing process, Nissan plans on reducing water consumption and manage the water quality.
