Distracted Driving Awareness Month 2019

At some point or another, most of us have been distracted by something while behind the wheel. Whether it’s due to texting or talking on the phone, changing music, talking with another passenger, etc. It’s a bad habit to develop. In order to keep people safe, we wanted to highlight April, as it is Distracted Driving Awareness Month in 2019.

Whether it’s our phones, infotainment systems, voice commands or any other in-vehicle technology, in 2019, drivers are faced with many distractions in the newest vehicles. In fact, according to the National Safety Council, at least nine Americans die, while 100 more are injured in distracted driving crashes.

While it can be tempting to respond to a text or change something on your commute, the consequences of distracted driving could be terrible. To help eliminate distracted driving-related accidents, the National Safety Council is using April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month to recognize the dangers of the situation and promote attentive driving.
