The production of the new 2019 Altima is being started at the Nissan production plant in Smyrna, Tennessee. Since the famous “Job 1” back in June 1992, this plant has produced approximately 4.6 million Altima models alone to date. This isn’t the only place where the new sedan will be manufactured, as Nissan has invested a whopping $170 million in order to upgrade their US assembly plants in Smyrna, as well as Canton, Mississippi, in order to offer the best technology and equipment to build the new Altima.
