Glendale Heights Volunteer Opportunities 

Now that Halloween is over, the season of giving is in full effect. Thanksgiving is all about taking time to think about everything you appreciate. Christmas is the time to give to friends, family and even to people you don’t know. If you are looking for ways to give some of your time to help others, we have found three volunteer opportunities in Glendale Heights to look into. Keep reading to find one that interests you. 


 

Giving DuPage 

This is a non-profit organization that has the mission to promote giving and volunteering in DuPage County. Through their portal, volunteers can learn about over 300 non-profit organizations and over 700 local service opportunities. 


 

DuPage Basket Brigade 

This is the local chapter of the International Basket Brigade. This organization helps families and individuals who are homeless. Their goal is to supply baskets/bags of food on the holidays. Those who would like to help can donate money, food and household items. 


 

Neighborhood Food Pantries  

Locally operated, these pantries allow residents to create a sense of community. Those who would like to volunteer can do so weekly, once a month or anywhere in between. Volunteers can help with orders, drive the trucks or assist the pantry.
