New 2019 Altima Makes its Debut at NYIAS

What’s new in the 2019 Nissan Altima? 

After much anticipation, Nissan finally unveiled their new 2019 Altima model at the recent 2018 New York International Auto Show. With many new additions and design changes, it’s easy to see why so many people are excited for the new sedan. So exactly what’s new in the 2019 Nissan Altima? 

Entering its sixth generation, the Nissan Altima will be available nationwide in the fall of 2018. In fact, the Altima is the manufacturer’s best-selling sedan model, as there have been 5.6 Altima vehicles sold to date. This new 2019 Altima also soon be available nationwide this fall.  

Nissan Intelligent Mobility in the 2019 Nissan Altima 

Taking cues from the 2018 Nissan LEAF, the new Altima will be incorporating Nissan Intelligent Mobility. A big part of this new system is the popular Nissan ProPILOT Assist, which is a driver assistance feature that is able to reduce the amount of acceleration, steering and braking input in specific driving conditions.

Also new with the 2019 Nissan Altima is Rear Automatic Braking. This helps drivers to be able to detect stationary objects when backing up.

The new Altima also offers two new engines for drivers to choose from. Coming standard on the 2019 Altima is a 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder direct-injection engine. A new variable compression turbo inline 4-cylinder engine also replaces the previous generation’s 3.5-liter V6 engine.
