More Nissan vehicles have earned top safety rankings from IIHS

Four Nissan models have made tip safety marks by the IIHS
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded four of Nissan’s models Top Safety Pick at the beginning of March. Keep reading to learn more!
Which models received this award?
The 2021 Nissan Rogue, Maxima and Altima all have received the Top Safety Pick + for providing the highest level of occupant safety according to the IIHS. With a specific headlight, the 2021 Nissan Sentra earned the Top Safety Pick. All four of these models come standard with the Nissan Safety Shield. To receive this award, vehicles must have good ratings in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests. The top safety pick must have good headlight ratings on at least one model and to receive the + to the award, it must be offered on all trim levels.
More about each of these vehicles:
- Rogue – Starting at $25,750 MSRP, the 2021 Nissan Rogue has up to 35 highway and 27 city miles to the gallon with an output of 181 horsepower. There is up to 36.5 cubic feet of cargo space.
- Maxima – The 2021 Nissan Maxima starts at $37,090 MSRP. Drivers can expect up to 30 highway and 20 city miles to the gallon with an output of up to 300 horsepower. There is up to 14.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
- Altima – Starting at $24,350 MSRP, the Altima has 39 highway and 28 city miles to the gallon with an engine output of up to 248 horsepower. It has up to 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space.
- Sentra – The 2021 Nissan Sentra starts at $19,460 MSRP. There is a fuel economy of 39 highway and 29 city miles to the gallon with an engine output of 149 horsepower. The Sentra has 14.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
