Kid friendly car games to play on a road trip

We all remember asking our parents “are we there yet.” Road trips can get a little boring for kids, but we have prepared a list of games for your kids to play to keep them entertained. Keep reading to get some game ideas for your kids.

20 questions

To play 20 questions one person has to think of a category of either a person, place or thing. Then the rest of the players take turns asking yes or no questions to narrow down to the answer. Whoever figures out the answer first, wins.

Memory game

Everyone gets to put their memory to the test with this game. One person will start the game by saying “I’m going on a trip and I’m going to pack ____.” Then the second person will repeat what the first person said while adding another item. Each item will be correlated with each letter of the alphabet. For example, “I’m going to pack an apple” and the second person will add banana.

Play bingo

To interact with the environment around you, there is Number Plate Bingo. All of the passengers will need a notepad and write down an 8 letter word. While keeping an eye out for license plate letters, whoever is able to cross up each letter of their word, wins.

Use technology

When all else fails, download some kid friendly games to your phone. The App Store has a specific section for child-friendly apps.
