Halloween in Glendale Heights IL

It’s now spooky season which means you need to start thinking about how you will celebrate Halloween! COVID has thrown us some hurdles but there are some creative ways to enjoy Halloween without the crowds. Keep reading to find some ideas!

1. Decorate to the max

Give your neighbors something to look at! Set up a fog machine, put up some scarecrows and carve out some pumpkins. You can get everyone in the Halloween spirit by going big this year with Halloween decorations.

2. Take your costume party virtual

Just because we can’t have big social gatherings doesn’t mean you can’t have costume parties. Set up a zoom call and dress up. Everyone can vote on the best costume and have all the fun without leaving home.

3. Have a scary movie marathon

Scary movies are a staple of Halloween. Set up a projector and host a scary movie party. If you want to go the virtual route, do a Netflix party through a Google Chrome extension.

4. Organize a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt

Reuse some of your old plastic Easter eggs and give them a spooky look. You can stick glow sticks in them or paint them with glow-in-the-dark paint. You can have a scavenger hunt with clues to the final jackpot or you can do like how you would on Easter and hide the eggs for all to find. This activity can be done both inside or outside.
